The Mobile Capture Unit (MCU) is a pilot-scale mobile installation dedicated to post-combustion CO₂ capture using chemical absorption with amines. Positioned within the CCUS value chain, it enables dynamic testing under real industrial conditions. Operated by ENGIE Laborelec, the MCU supports research and demonstration projects such as lime and gas-fired power plant applications. Fully funded by ENGIE R&I, it will remain operational until Q1 2027 before being made available for additional research or industrial use.
