Test Facility for Scaled Hydraulic Models
- Transversal
The hydraulic testing facility of SPW-Direction des Recherches Hydrauliques is a specialized laboratory dedicated to the physical modelling of hydraulic structures at reduced scale. Within this experimental hall, complex infrastructures such as locks and dams are reproduced to study their hydraulic behaviour under controlled conditions.
The facility supports a wide range of investigations, including flow dynamics, sediment transport, erosion processes and navigation conditions in waterways. By recreating realistic scenarios, engineers can test design solutions, optimize infrastructure performance and assess risks such as flooding or structural stress.
